In June of 2006, the European Commission, together with the Latvian Government and the Austrian Presidency of the EU, organised a high-level conference and exhibition on the theme "ICT for an Inclusive Society" in Riga, Latvia.
The conference was part of the process to ensure an inclusive European information society, making its benefits available to all.
